I just finished a book called "Manusia Setengah Salmon" by Raditya Dika. The book is telling about moving on and growing up. Without forgetting the way Raditya wrote his earlier books, this book is still funny and smart. These two things, moving on and growing up, are so related to how being more mature as a human. With simple things, Raditya perfectly shows us about moving on and growing up which is moving to a new house (as an example of 'moving on' in a relationship) and a toothache (as an example of growing up)
Ketika sesuatu sudah mulai sempit dan tidak nyaman, saat itulah seseorang harus pindah ke tempat yang lebih luas dan (dirasa) cocok untuk dirinya. Rumah ini tidak salah. Yang kurang tepat itu bila dua hal dirasa sudah tidak lagi menyamakan tetap di pertahankan untuk bersama. Mirip seperti gue dan dia. Dan, dia memutuskan untuk pindah (pg. 29)
When we move to a new place cause we dont feel comfortable anymore, or the place isnt big enough anymore to us, so we move. It's like when we are in a relationship. If we dont feel comfortable with the person whom with us and it doesnt suit anymore, we gotta move to find a 'new place'. But, dont too often moving from one place to another place or relationship cause we might dont get happiness and comfort that we are looking for.
Why toothache means growing up? Maybe some of your parents ever said when your baby tooth came off, they'll say "It's okay. It shows that you are growing up". In Indonesia, there is this famous dangdut song called Lebih baik sakit gigi daripada sakit hati (re: It's better toothache than broken heart), but Raditya says broken heart is better than toothache. Why? toothache is like physically killing you slowly, and cause broken heart is one of signs that you are already more mature.

Like a salmon, he moves to another place, and while he is in his immigration, he will face a water waves and might some gladiators. He gotta be survive, then he will be grown up. I recommended this book to read and take some lessons from it.
